Just Another Radio is going to be better than ever this year (or something cliche like that)! 

By the end of 2012 Just Another Radio will either be broadcasting without the risk of being cut, or it would of been cut, or the world will end. So, keep tuning in or the world will end!

1st Broadcasting Month Complete!

It has been an entire month since my first broadcasting date and I've got an average of 11hrs/day - this means I've got 2 months left to achieve an extra 1hr a day on average (not even mentioning I have recently been getting up to 70hrs a day!!!).

In other news, WaWaWadio (the other half of RadioBros or whatever we are going by these days) is going to be broadcasting in 2012 with an attempt to revive a genre! The broadcast date is uncertain at the moment as there is a lot of song collecting to do and planning the day template.

Keep tuning in to Just Another Radio, and if I get lots more listening hours there will be a lot of cool stuff coming to the radio. :D

iTunes & Radio Shaker

 Just Another Radio can now be found on iTunes and Radio Shaker!
Just Another Radio can now be found under Alternative Rock on iTunes.
Just Another Radio is no longer under 80's Flashback on iTunes Radio, but is now under Alternative Rock as requested a few days ago. I have submitted Just Another Radio (JAR) to other sites but I am awaiting replies. Radio Shaker is also hosting Just Another Radio now and I believe it to be available on Nokia Radio (although I didn't submit it to them!)

How to open Just Another Radio in Windows Media Player

Here is a guide on how to download a Windows Media Player stream of Just Another Radio so that you can listen to it (if you don't have the Radionomy Plugin which most people don't have) and so you can save the link to your desktop. 

 Summary: Click the 'Radio Stream Download' located in the sidebar and then open the download. You can then save it to desktop for quick access (internet still required).

1. Click Radio Stream Download under 'Links' in the sidebar of this site. (Circled in picture)

Google Chrome Downloads
2. If you are using Google Chrome as your web browser, it will download like this. You can click on it and then it will open in Window Media Player. To save the link to your computer, simply find the place it has downloaded to and then move it to where you want.

Other Browsers
2 (Alternative). In other browsers it may open up in a box like this. Press 'Open With' to open the Media Player or 'Save File' to save the link to your computer.

YouTube Talent - Jenny Wren

Jennywren1 is the channel of a twenty-something year old student from Scotland. She believes that she is 'cursed with a complete lack of a vocal ability', so she tries to compensate by playing instrumental covers of the songs she would like to be able to sing on either piano, keyboard or harp. Her covers have ranged from Cyndi Lauper to Maroon 5 and Rihanna. 

I first found her channel when I came across the instrumental version of 'Little Secrets' by Passion Pit, a video with over 11,000 views. Along with this video, there is a tutorial on how to play it (currently just under 14,000 views). However, her covers are original as they range across such a variety of music. Her instrumental version of 'Little Secrets' is going to be featured as one of my favourite songs on the ultimate playlist.

Christmas Plans at Just Another Radio

Here at Just Another Radio HQ (my room) I am getting all the stuff ready on the radio for this week in the build up to Christmas day and New Years! I've added some Christmas songs (by artists such as Frank Sinatra and different Orchestra's) and made them into a day template. We've also got plans to record a chat-session/podcast that we will air later but the air-date is still to be confirmed as we need to record + edit it. 
As usual, we will be playing awesome alternative rock songs, your requests and feel-good tracks. 


Remember to keep tuning in so that we can survive until the end of February! We need enough listeners for the hosting site to keep letting us broadcast!
