BAKER is an up-and-coming pop artist about to hit the scene; as well as already having a large fan-base, the single 'Echo' has had over 310,000 hits on YouTube AND he is set to release an album later this year, which we cannot wait to hear!
Nowadays, more and more people are turning away from mainstream pop music as they can see through the artists who have little talent and are just 'doing it for the money; people have described these artists as creating songs that are 'repetitive, meaningless and over-produced'. However, now and then a new pop original pop artist comes along. Their music has it's own style and each track is individual not 'repetitive'. The music they produce isn't 'meaningless'. They are very much under-appreciated and definitely not 'over-produced'.
We think BAKER is one of these great pop artists. He makes up everything that you would expect there to be in a perfect pop star; he has the stylish and contemporary look as well as being a successful musician who creates indescribably catchy songs. The future of this musician looks very bright and it's definitely a name you should look out for - you'll end up saying 'Why haven't I heard of him before?!'
Interview
We had the pleasure of being able to ask him a few questions about his music and the future and here is how he responded:
1. What can people expect from your album?
The album will be a true pop album. Big dance bangers, big ballads, and everything in between. I think there are a lot of great singles out there right now but not many good albums and I wanna make sure I've earned the right to have a full LP.

2. Who influences your music and style?
I'm influenced by the likes of David Bowie and Bob Dylan and people who've have had careers spanning decades. They had vision and many times didn't listen to anyone else's opinions out of fear and that's what it takes to be a true artist. My style comes from people like James Dean, Alain Delon, and Kanye West for the same reasons. They wear what feels good for them.
3. What led you into becoming a musical artist?
I was a cellist growing up but I would always sing and, after a while, it eclipsed everything else I did. Now, with songwriting and performing and working with great producers and exploring new sounds, I can't imagine doing anything else.
4. Do you think style is as important as music in the pop industry?
Style only matters if you have the substance to back it up. I think people are smart enough these days to see past the artifice and judge the music on its own merits. No matter what I'm wearing on stage, if the audience doesn't remember the song I'm singing they won't remember much else.
5. If you could do a collaboration with any other artist, who would it be?
I'm a huge fan of Nero so a collaboration with them would be epic!!!
