YouTube Things

To help you enjoy your Friday evening, we've collected a few of our favourite videos from YouTube. Firstly, the Voice box/Talk Box cover of Daft Punk (bottom left video) is really awesome and if you like it you will probably love searching through other voice box covers and originals. Secondly, the bottom right video is the cinematic, sci-fi-esque music video for Titanium, by David Guetta ft. Sia; it has been acclaimed as the standout track on David Guetta's latest album 'Nothing But The Beat' and we, as well as many others, think it is his best track. The video in the top left is nothing but inspiring. It's not music related but tells the story of the iconic 'Keep Calm and Carry On' poster; its definitely worth a watch. In the top right, we have featured the video for the Holi Festival of Colours 2011. It's just passed this years Festival of Colours in India on March 8th, but the video is really uplifting and enjoyable to watch. I hope you enjoy them! 

YouTube Talent - Jenny Wren

Jennywren1 is the channel of a twenty-something year old student from Scotland. She believes that she is 'cursed with a complete lack of a vocal ability', so she tries to compensate by playing instrumental covers of the songs she would like to be able to sing on either piano, keyboard or harp. Her covers have ranged from Cyndi Lauper to Maroon 5 and Rihanna. 

I first found her channel when I came across the instrumental version of 'Little Secrets' by Passion Pit, a video with over 11,000 views. Along with this video, there is a tutorial on how to play it (currently just under 14,000 views). However, her covers are original as they range across such a variety of music. Her instrumental version of 'Little Secrets' is going to be featured as one of my favourite songs on the ultimate playlist.

YouTube is being updated to the Cosmic Panda layout, it is all silver and black and with lots of video playlists and stuff. Also, (in big YouTube news) we made a YouTube account - JustAnotherRadio2011 . 

On our YouTube Channel we might announce things, do competitions and like lots of songs we like. If we upload a video, we will announce it on here and we do hope to a have a RSS feed on the YouTube channel with posts from the blog. We're trying to connect all the formats we are in e.g. blog and radionomy and youtube so it's most likely that you will start to see more and more links on each of the sites.

Our actual radio will be embeded in this blog as soon as it broadcasts. Broadcast date to be revealed shortly.
