Just Another Radio is now available iPhone and Android.

You can access Just Another Radio from your mobile device by downloading TuneIn Radio or Radionomy apps. Then, all you need to do is search 'Just Another Radio'. As Just Another Radio is an internet radio, you must have a Wi-Fi or 3G connection. 

Both of the apps are free, however you can purchase TuneIn Radio Pro for 61p on the Android Market or 69p on the Apple AppStore.

 Just Another Radio can now be found on iTunes and Radio Shaker!
Just Another Radio can now be found under Alternative Rock on iTunes.
Just Another Radio is no longer under 80's Flashback on iTunes Radio, but is now under Alternative Rock as requested a few days ago. I have submitted Just Another Radio (JAR) to other sites but I am awaiting replies. Radio Shaker is also hosting Just Another Radio now and I believe it to be available on Nokia Radio (although I didn't submit it to them!)

The Future

My current priorities for the radio include getting enough listeners; without any listeners, all this work will have gone to waste. However, I am going to continue to work on the radio no matter what.

The plans I have at the moment include:

•          Finalized Logo
•          Blog/Website Redesign
•          Creating a Jingle

Music-wise, my targets are to:

•  Expand the music library
•  Get on more internet radio hosting sites
•  Finalize songs that are broadcasting

As many of the popular radios have very specific target audiences, but as Just Another Radio is unique for it variety of music, I am unsure whether to limit the genres on it. So, as a consequence of this, I reopened the Favourite genre Poll for you to vote for you favourite genres.

For today and tomorrow only....

For today and tomorrow only I will be airing a test run through of songs and different schedules. 

The official broadcast date still remains some time near the start of December, however I am broadcasting for a few hours today (29/11/11) and tomorrow (30/11/11) to check if the songs sound good together in their schedules and no bad songs have accidentally crept in :)

The official broadcast date is different because the radio will be more refined and have the radio's jingles and other radio stuff in it.

Today's progress so far has been good as I have got a lot more funky funk songs and soul, which is always good :D

Big News

Problem solved! Sort of.

We got a reply from the Radionomy site about two people creating a radio station but they said that it is a feature that is currently unavailable. So, as it stands, there are now two 'linking' radios  - WaWaWadio and JustAnotherRadio.

Broadcast Date

JustAnotherRadio is airing soon

The broadcast date should be between 25/11/11 (today) and 10/12/11. If everything goes to plan (and the program doesn't have any more errors), I am aiming to get it aired on the 3rd and 4th December as it is a weekend.

Today is Children in Need! Yesterday there was a Children in Need concert (CIN Rocks) and there were loads of artists performing for the charity including Coldplay, Elbow and Lady Gaga. Donate at http://www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey/ or by phone.

Our ingenious idea to share the radio library between both of us didn't work but we have an idea to work our way around the problem. The air date will hopefully be within a few weeks - there's just a lot of songs to get into playlists 'n' stuff. :)

Gotta Have That Funk
We're currently building up our playlist with lots of songs from THE Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Al Green and many other funk/soul artists. We are also incorporating modern songs onto our radio station, so we can appreciate the old and new and other stuff like that. 
Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, Daft Punk and Eminem are a few names you wouldn't hear together on any other radio station but Just Another Radio. We're planning schedules for each different genres and where we might have a mix. 


Also, we are looking for up-and-coming artists who would like to feature on our radio station. In return, we only ask that you tell as many people as you can about us!
